    I was just wondering, what job you programmers would have if you couldnt be a programmer, because computers didnt exist. i know what id be, an electronics engineer, trying to make a computer. :-D seriously though, i have two career paths in mimd, electronics and/or software engineering.

              of course it isn't. All the calculations for the moon landings were done on slide rules! -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!

                We'd all be using slide rules[^] (though I'd guess had electronic computers not been invented, some other form of automated calculation machine would have been) -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!
