First off Congratulations to Simon Walton for being first to get the answer. What might have confused a few people is that the question was in the reverse order to what it normally would be. The first clue about the Great-Grandchildren shows that these are terms that we don't use every day now but our great grand Children well might. (Think Moore's Law). The Second Clue was a large number, but any fiddling on a scientific calculator to factorize it would only result in two's or you could have square rooted it a number of times. Y = 1024^8 or Yotta Z = 1024^7 or Zetta E = 1024^6 or Exa P = 1024^5 or Peta T = 1024^4 or Tera G = 1024^3 or Giga M = 1024^2 or Mega K = 1024^1 or Kilo 1 = 1024^0 or One :-) Regardz Colin J Davies

You are the intrepid one, always willing to leap into the fray! A serious character flaw, I might add, but entertaining. Said by Roger Wright about me.

You cheated - I thought it was purely a maths problem. Step back, rub your eyes, take a deep breath, stretch a bit, and reflect on the relative importance of CP, CG, the age / travel time sustained by supposedly 'fresh' cheese curds, and Life in General. - Shog9

Considering each letter represented is a number, that's darn near Algebra !! Regardz Colin J Davies

Exactly. It's more of a cross-word puzzle than a maths problem. cheers, Chris Maunder
