I can't decide if they are terrified of her or just trying to upstage the Republican Convention. I suspect there's very little really damaging information in what they released, but it certainly suggests that the "new politics" is just as unethical as the old.

SSNs are assigned based on region, then on chronology, then a random, "secret" number. SSN Structure[^]. They release the highest group number used every year. The number the Dems released tells me she was born in Alaska.. go figure.. and just knowing the year she was born will be enough for a good guess at the middle two numbers. F.U.D, no story. [edit] in case you didn't open up the PDF and find the number, here it is: 574-60-XXXX [/edit]

I can. It is pretty easy to gauge the fear based on the level of noise coming out of the media. I just finished donating another $100 to McCain / Palin. Well, $98, I spent the other $2 on more bumper stickers.

Mike - typical white guy. The USA does have universal healthcare, but you have to pay for it. D'oh. Thomas Mann - "Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil." The NYT - my leftist brochure. Calling an illegal alien an “undocumented immigrant” is like calling a drug dealer an “unlicensed pharmacist”. God doesn't believe in atheists, therefore they don't exist.

All of the above. I can't imagine ayone familiar with Chicago Machine politics believing that Obama is anything other than another slick politician. With the Internet, its too easy to put out information via some "anonymous source" and then later disavow it. What amazes me is that people aren't apalled at the fact that the Libs support a womans right to choose as long as its an abortion, and they are equal as long as they are liberal feminists. The media and Obama's campaign are just showing their true colors.

Uptight Ex-Military Republican married to a Commie Lib - How weird is that?

Campbell Brown from CNN is assigning blame to Sarah Palin who, in Ms. Brown's opinion, is such a lousy mother that she accepted the vice presidential nomination, thereby subjecting her daughter to this liberal-created media feeding frenzy. Campbell Brown, who is at the Republican Convention leaving her one-year old back in Atlanta (presumably in the care of a nanny) raised the question of whether a good mother would have done this. Actually, that she got her SS# in Alaska. Back then you weren't assigned a number at birth. Palin was born in Iowa.

I was going to sit this one out given McCain Fingold, his terrible immigration policy and other assorted left leaning tendancies. But, now... To bad one can't just contribute to Palin.

So much for the idea of women being allowed to work outside of the home..... of course thats only allowed if she is a liberal feminist.

I'm feeling brave tonight - I cracked the less than attractive reporting modus operandi of an odious web site, having decompiled it, so, my SA ID number is 691213 5011 088. The first six are my DOB, the next four my 'serial number', and the last three check digits. The second last two used to denote race, during the evil regime. The serial four digits begin at 5000 for all males born on a day, and begin at 0 for all females. I don't know what will happen when more than 5000 of each gender are born each day.

A SINGLE-PHOTON TURNSTILE, a device in which photons are emitted one at a time under controlled circumstances, has been created by a team of scientists from Stanford (US), Hamamatsu Photonics (Japan), and NTT (Japan). Essentially the researchers use the quantization of electrical conductance to produce a quantization of photon emission. They put together a quantum well (the frontier between two thin semiconductor layers) containing a single electron (other electrons are dissuaded from entering because of a "Coulomb blockade" effect) with a quantum well containing a lone (comparably Coulomb blockaded) hole, and then cycle the voltage across the whole stack of layers in such a way that the lone electron and lone hole meet, mate, and make a lone photon. The resulting device, which operates at mK temperatures, is typically a tiny post some 700 nm tall and with a diameter of 200-1000 nm. (J. Kim et al., Nature, 11 February 1999.)

I don't think it is a matter of being fearful of her, but they are just trying to dig up every little thing to sling mud to make themselves look better, when they really aren't.

I hate to burst your bubble but you're looking at the predictible convention bump for Barry.

We'll know in a week. Let's see what bump McCain can get. Sarah Palin seems not to have given him one. I think McCain will do well if he can have as good a convention as Obama did.

In a ss# funk. You see FAA, how can they get away with that... read the gov appoligists responces in the lounge, then every other google search I make has some search term with ss# term in it. Then news breaks at about 1900 EST about government abusing it's information acccess obligations on very similiar subject. It's an outrage.
