Hi, I'm about to learn Java at school, and we are using some "Ready to Program Java" thing, which I find lacking a lot of functions. Which IDE do you recommend for Java? I am thinking of having one installed at home when I need to do some coding. Thanks.

Eclipse. It's free and very, very good.

Deja View - the feeling that you've seen this post before.

Eclipse seems to be top dog. Netbeans is another free one.
