The Media apologizes

I don't think anyone ever expected them to. It would require a level of civility and class that they show no signs of understanding, let alone achieving. But it would seem that their goal is clear: As long as they can keep the focus on someone who might, maybe, become President under certain circumstances, the longer Obama escapes scrutiny for having less experience in government that she does. If this means suggesting that no mother is fit to be President, sobeit. If this means reporting scurrilous rumors about Palin pretending to be the mother of her daughter's child, then sobeit. The following is a more or less even-handed report, which I assume will be rejected as a pack of lies by some, for not branding Palin as genetically inferior. Sarah Palin found some unlikely allies Wednesday as leading academics and even former top aides to Hillary Rodham Clinton endorsed the Republican charge that John McCain's running mate has been subject to a sexist double standard by the news media and Democrats.

Democrats crying "racism" is always called "playing the race card". Republicans crying "sexism" is always fair game, regardless whether the original criticism (pork, abuse of power, etc.) is gender neutral.
Of all forms of sexual aberration, the most unnatural is abstinence.

Even better. The mayor of a town of 7000 where she won the election in 1996 617-413. There are student council elections that have more votes than that.

Who are the liberal who are voicing this criticism? It's easy enough to find a right-winger: I’m stunned - couldn’t the Republican Party find one competent female with adult children to run for Vice President with McCain? I realize his advisors probably didn’t want a “mature” woman, as the Democrats keep harping on his age. But really, what kind of role model is a woman whose fifth child was recently born with a serious issue, Down Syndrome, and then goes back to the job of Governor within days of the birth?[^]

Did that get reported in the MSM? Have a link to it? Did you find this a problem when the reports were questioning if Obama was a Muslim? Somehow I doubt it. Palin on the charge of sexism: "When I hear a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism, or maybe a sharper microscope put on her, I think, 'Man, that doesn't do us any good, women in politics, or women in general, trying to progress this country,' "

Obama strongly asked that the family should be left out of the debate. OTH evidences of pork are more than clear. The evidences of abuse of power are not that clear yet but should be investigated. These are the main criticisms and they're not gender-related. So don't hide them with the smoke screen of "sexism". Or should I remember you that fighting pork and abuse of power should be conservative values also?

Not me, but let us be equal-handed about the investigation; Obama and Biden are not likely to come away from an investigation of pork looking like anything but pig-butchers. Indeed, I would love to see every rational accusation of pork-barrelling that has been leveled at any of the four of them laid out for all to see, side-by-side.
