To the Owners of these Forums: With all the concert these days over security, don't you think it's at least a little questionable to include the password, in plain text, in the confirmation e-mail? It seems downright irresponsible to me. I always get a cold chill, whenever I see any of my passwords printed out in plain text, for the World to see. Please consider changing your policy on this.:~ Bili Joe

Was this meant to be a serious suggestion, like they have in the suggestions forum, or just a vent. How would they send you a password so you could read it, if not in plain text ?

Did I post this in the wrong forum? I'm sorry. Yes it's meant to be serious! Since I supplied the password, I already know what it is. There is no need to print it out. If I do forget it, I'm sure this forum, like all others, has a routine way to go about recovering or changing your password, to restore your access.

They don't need to e-mail it to you at all. You chose the password, didn't you?

Again, unless I'm some kind of exception, I chose the password myself. My memory is genuinely failing, but it's not so short that I need an e-mail to keep me from forgetting it (in the 20 or 30 seconds between when I submitted my application, and the confirmation e-mail arrived).
