The dumbest thing you can do is fight back 'in kind.' Never, ever, let your opponent(s) determine the level of combat. If you decide that you need to fight, then you fight to win, using all necessary force - no more, and no less.

Exactly the kind of imaginative defense a nine-year old would offer to excuse his behavior. I didn't buy it from my kids, and I'm certainly not going to get swept up in your fantasies, either.

No, the dumbest thing you can do in a fight is allow your opponent to dictate the terms of how it will be fought, to tell you how you are allowed to fight, what tactics and weapons you can use. To win a a fight you must be able to turn your opponent's greatest strengths against him.

      A radically leftist government

You really are going to be disappointed then. If Obama is elected you aren't going to see a radically leftist government. We have most definitely had a radical government for the last 8 years and, with any luck, we'll have a president Obama who will put that to an end.

Amen to that. The R's very much need to re-embrace conservative principles.

We'll see. Obama has two choices. He can continue Bush's basic policies (which will leave those such as yourself feeling betrayed) or he can implement the kinds of change people like you want (which will leave everyone else who voted for him feeeling betrayed). If he changes Bush policies and bad things happen he loses. I'm certain that, in any case, you will see nothing Obama does as being radical because you are from the same basic America hating background that he is. The question is will the rest of the center right American electorate who put him in power feel the same way?

I agree completely. The republicans deserved to be taught a lesson, to be knocked back to a core base of pro-free market, pro-christian, pro-jeffersonian core, and begin rebuilding from there for as long as it takes for the American people to become tired of being turned into a European social welfare state.

I don't know what you are talking about. Indignant over "Waterboard Obama"? It's no skin off my nose. I'm more than happy to see McCain and the Republicans go down in flames with their self-destructive negative campaign.

They feel the same way about the treatment of Palin. The democrats and their media allies make every effort to destroy conservative politicians by every underhanded misinformation methodology in their bag of dirty tricks. Well, fine, keep it up. Bring it on, you'll get what you deserve in the end...

And they also feel she is not prepared to be President and most people don't like her(high negative ratings).

It's amazing how your binary view of the world blinds you. How bizarre that you think the only choice available to the next president are the Bush Doctrine and communism - what a barren world view.

No, actually, I don't. What is demonstrated every day is that as long as conservatives continue to take advice from the libertarians, we will continue to lose.

We certainly need to shout down those who mischaracterize the man as a libertarian. He wasn't. He would have seen the inherent unworkability of libertarian principles as easily as any other intelligent person. That's why he didn't create a government based on those principles.
