Articles reported for plagiarism
-
It should not be possible for these to get approved. I have seen a couple of instances now of articles that were blatant plagiarism, that I reported and included a link to the original work copied, that a day or so later show up as new, unedited articles with all the pre-approval comments removed. Once reported for plagiarism, it should not be possible for another gold member to approve the article. This is a sufficiently grievous offense, in my opinion, that a single report for this cause should take the article off the waiting for approval list. To prevent abuse, I suppose it is necessary that staff verify the plagiarism before permanently destroying the article, but it should not be possible for arbitrary gold members to wipe out the evidence by approving the article. I continue to be astounded that people claiming to be Architects or Senior programmers would expect to get away with cut and paste from other work on the internet, but it seems to be increasing in frequency. Some people are without shame.
