Hillary Clinton bid farewell to her Senate Collegues today. Joe Biden, likewise. Harry Reid said goodbye to any last vestige of hope of being taken seriously when Roland Burris took his oath as the new junior Senator from Illinois. Tonight George Bush says goodbye on network TV. but the one that is probably the most interesting is Arnold Swartzenegger who said goodbye to whatever chance he might have had to be well liked by the California legislature. He delivered his State of California speech to the assembled lawmakers today. He basically said that the state they all govern is 42 billion in the red and that since the legislature refuses to agree to a budget, they all (including Arnie) ought to stop getting paid. It seems that he didn't get any applause after that from the Republicrats or the Demmicans.

I wonder how many of them can afford it as much as he can. I applaud him for it tho, obviously.

Which is a shame, since Obama just now set the precedent that blew the whole Constitutional requirement to be natural born out of the water... He's would be a much better foreign born socialist. :-D

Give up on it, Boney. You're probably wrong and even if you're right, no-one cares very much. There are much better things to call Obama out on, if you want to. Me, I'm just hoping and praying he's smart enough to get us out of this mess reasonably intact.

If that were the case they would release documentation proving it.

Which is the sadest thing of all. Nobody cares that the Constitution is being ignored. The one document that the President and the armed forces are swore to protect and uphold. The one document that near countless servicemen have fought, bled and died defending. What the hell is there to talk about if the Constitution doesn't matter anymore? Everybody who's not up in arms about this should be ashamed. If it's such a non-issue, all he has to do if fork over a couple documents. The Supreme Court cases demanding just that are not dead, though I'm sure they will be dismissed without cause or investigation. I'll let go of it as soon as he presents the documentation he should have been required to give before running for prez.

Nah, Reid lost that hope years ago. Maybe I don't know all of the details, but wasn't Burris duly appointed to office by a sitting govenor? Was there something illegal about it?

No, just immoral. Harry Reid got his panties in a bunch because it was a black guy and he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that two years from now a black guy couldn't win Obama's old seat.

I have not seen that, but then I haven't been paying very close attention. I thought it was about Blagos troubles and maybe he didn't have the right to appoint someone.

Reid tried to make it about Blago, but since his lips were moving, you could tell he was lying. Someone leaked the fact that he was privately saying that a black couldn't hold the seat.
