How can you say that to me? I don't believe in anything that Iran stands for. How goddamned stupid do you have to be to not understand that centralized power is centralized power whether it is in Iran or the US. That is what I, as a conservative, am opposed to. Why is that so hard for people like you to comprehend? People like you are turning the US into Iran. You think just because you are putting power into the hands of people you consider to be secular zealots that somehow that is different than putting power into the hands of someone who is a religious zealot. It isn't. It is exactly the same damn thing.

WHy don't you? You could move anywhere on the planet and be in a country just like what this one has become. Where the hell do I go?

While I don't totally disagree with you, your whining on and on about something that isn't going to change anytime too soon is like a 5 year old pitching a hissy fit. Suck it up, your guy lost, better luck next time.

Benediction at Obama 's inauguration, Rev. Joseph Lowery: 'Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around... when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen'... Seriously, WTF is that?

Course it has nothing to do with race. Although it was interesting that segments of the crowd at the inauguration kept chanting "Black Power".....

That's a damn good point. If anybody feels that maybe we should give socialism (of any disgusting flavor) a go, go some place where they're already oppressed by it. Then you can test drive it without ruining the closest thing to a free democratic republic we've had in human history. If you don't disappear in political prison, and your new home ever decides to let you leave, you'll likely come home with a different perspective. Hell, you might even buy a gun, find yourself with a healthy distrust for all things government, and decide to put some ideas down on paper before finding that the Constitution already says what you wanted to say better than you could. Just saying, maybe some of the "enlightened" ones could use some enlightening.

Yes. There is no place left now. No where that a person can go to escape collectivism and religious and economimc tyranny. All we can do now is wait for it to all come crahsing down. There is no possible way that any of this is going to succeed. We now have one of the most unaccomplished, ner do wells that we have ever had in power, trying to fix the problems that liberalism has created with far more liberalism. The only cure he knows is to feed the patient more poison. Well, fine. If thats what it takes to put this entire sorry system out of its misery, I'm all for it.

No. The democratic processes in this country are no longer fair and honest. The true government we are supposed to have has been usurped by pure corruption and propaganda. Our educational systems are controlled by leftists, our news media is controlled by leftist, and our entertaiment industry is controlled by leftists. This is no longer a gentleman's debate. Its fucking war.

Or maybe even talk to somebody who's tried it. I know a lady who was raised in Russia. Given her upbringing she was completely dumbfounded that people in the US would even give the slightest consideration to socializing medicine.

How can you say that. Look at the great shape our programs like Social Security are in... Sure it's horribly horribly broken, but if we just keep raising taxes and slashing benefits we can prevent it's total collapse for at least another 10 years.

I don't deserve that. I am an honorable man, I have lived an honorable life. My only crime is a love for the principles and values that once defined my civilzation. But, I would never resort to terrorism to promote those principles. But you cannot inflict the kind of vile evil that the democrats have done to this country and not expect some kind of reaction. They have stolen their power. This is no longer a democracy or a constitutional republic. No one gets to do that without some kind of a reckoning.

Your behaviour in this thread most certainly deserves that. As is the usually the case (unfortunately) things have to get worse (perhaps much worse) to inspire that kind of change.

How can you say that. Look at the great shape our programs like Social Security are in... Sure it's horribly horribly broken, but if we just keep raising taxes and slashing benefits we can prevent it's total collapse for at least another 10 years.

So, the "old guy" calls you out and you blather. If you had any balls at all you'd say, "where do we meet". Your reply makes you as gutless as you contend Stan to be.

Mike - typical white guy. The USA does have universal healthcare, but you have to pay for it. D'oh. Thomas Mann - "Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil." The NYT - my leftist brochure. Calling an illegal alien an “undocumented immigrant” is like calling a drug dealer an “unlicensed pharmacist”. God doesn't believe in atheists, therefore they don't exist.

And you remind me of an ignorant fat boy. And, btw, I've never had piss running down my legs in my life and I have faced down far greater dangers than you represent.

What's that? The old lady at the grocery store intent on getting those 5 kg of potatoes at half-price?
