You're right, Mike. This is a big story. And it way supercedes the normal left/right squabbles we often see in SB. And there are idiots, especially bean-counters, who will see only the cost-savings of goping back to dumb terminals. The only mitigating factor I can come up with is the truth that porn has always driven home elctronics whether it's polaroid cameras, videotapes, the internet, digital cameras or hard-drives that can store graphics. That may make G-drives an interesting option on joe schmo's computer, but it won't be the only one he has on his box.

THIS WONT HAPPEN Ok home users bunging a few pics or a facebook app will happen, but businesses will not want sensitive or secure information anywhere other than on a computer they control. Military will not be putting secrets into google, not intelligence agencies. It would actually be against the law here in Britain to have personal information out there in cloud land, so it is only the morons on Facespace or Twitterland that would do this. (Er...I have a twitter, DalekDave, just signed up so nothing much yet, but I positively refuse to facespace!)
