Chaining ourselves to the moral high ground does not make us good guys. Aside from making us easy targets, it merely makes us idiotic prisoners of our own self loathing.

I simply can't find the source article on BJU; so either BJU has accepted it for publication but it hasn't made it completely through the peer review process, or they spelled the author's name wrong, or I'm incapable of using search functions. However, a few notes just from the summary itself, which may or may not make you more comfortable about continuing to use your equipment: - Whoever wrote the title doesn't understand the difference between correlation and causation. Typical. Masturbation probably isn't increasing your risk of prostate cancer. But "Masturbation may turn out to be a risk factor for prostate cancer" just isn't as snappy, I suppose. - This study contradicts existing studies that suggest a protective effect of sexual activity over the life span and specifically in the 30s. - People with a disease are ALWAYS going to answer positively in a greater degree to retrospective questions that touch on the system in question - i.e. someone with heart disease who is asked, "were you ever hit in the chest as a child," will be far more likely to answer 'yes' than an age-matched control without heart disease. Especially with so many years to think back to. - This might be unfair because it is just a summary article, but a 7-10% relative difference doesn't automatically translate to a statistically significant, much less clinically significant difference. I guess it must be at least the former since it's ostensibly being published. - Even if it is stat significant, it kind of/sort of feels like they were applying a pretty broad scope. Masturbation? Number of sexual partners? Six female partners or more? Cast a wide enough net meant to be a surrogate measure for "high sexual activity" and you're bound to catch something statistically significant. Keep on fucking!

I had heard once upon a time that men with prostate problems were often told to punch the clown for prostate health. I guess you're just supposed to hold off for a few years before starting a regiment.

Oddly, if you Google "punch the clown" you find out that there is a pretty popular rock band in Cleveland with that name along with a '90s dumpster ska band from California. Too weird for me. :)

I often wondered how many young girls screamed for Steely Dan without knowing where the name came from.

Listen up, boys... it just isn't safe for you guys to be fondling the young ladies. Leave them sweet, young fillies to us experienced middle-aged men, and we'll turn them back over to you when you're old enough not to be at risk. We'll take good care of them, promise! :-D

I was wondering if they controlled for the use of lubricants such as wD-40 or PAM or something. Not that I have any experience with that myself, of course.
