Some people need to grow the fuck up. What's in a name? That which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet.

Perhaps not. What woulf you prefer to eat, 'pate de fois gras' or 'paste of greasy liver'?

Morality is indistinguishable from social proscription

My son's Scout Troop now has girls in it! What's up with Guides for girls, Scouts for boys? (not any other connotation there!) The world's going mad.

My new favourite phrase - "misdirected leisure activity"

Would a bin man smell as sweet? Honey - Gelatinesed insect vomit. Beer - Rotten cereal products infused with fungal flatus. Egg - Galliformite Ovulation. I still prefer Pate de Fois Gras!

Bristol's Broad Plain Boys' Club, so called since 1894, faced a loss of funding[^] unless it removed the sexist word "boys" from its name, so it is now the catchily-titled Broad Plain Working With Young People Group.

Wasn't that Special Brew's advertising slogan?

I think it was Armando Ianucci who once said that Trading Standards had said that Special Brew had to be renamed "Six Cans of Angry and a Swan-Strangler".

And then, some people need to make up their minds.

The guy who said that was a serial murderer, killing the rose's cousin and her fiance and arranging for the stabbing death of his mentor before committing suicide.
