Do people have made it a habit to vote to remove messages from a particular poster? I mean without even going into the content of post. Alright, I am speaking of Ilion and I will not hesitate in using names now on. I am not supporting anyone here. I don't understand the content of his/her/whatever's post so cannot decide if it is good bad or crap. May be because I live in a different country and have different way thinking. Or maybe I am not aware of the topics of the posts. But are they so crappy that all of them must be removed? If that is the case, then why not have a link to remove membership along with vote to remove post? This link can be made available to only those people who are sensible as per the site owners. I don't know but I had to get this off.

The word "politics" describes the process so well: "Poli" in Latin meaning "many" and "tics" meaning "bloodsucking creatures." जय हिंद

Couldn't you have done it in this thread below[^] or even this thread right below that one?[^] Clearly this has been discussed in at least 2 threads in 24 hours, do we really need a third?

I did "ban" all Ilion's posts long before the remove link was implemented in messages (used a client-side script). Therefore my answer is a big yes. The last time I checked (months ago) he was consistently posting bullshit and insults, so I blocked him. This said, I have to admit that the way he's been lynched here just doesn't smell good. But these are the rules on the house and we are all guests in here. And besides, he still can log on with a different nickname and (most important) a different attitude. If you behave as a lightning rod for anger, all you'll get is anger.

While I think lynch voting with no regard to content is not very good, I just can't feel sorry for Ilidiot. And again, thanks for your script :-D

              Cheers, Vıkram.

No, the post trail that I linked to was the discussion on why Ilion's posts are being deleted, initiated by John. It leads to some fairly clear explanations behind the persecution...

But, obviously, in Ilion's case there is some regard for context. why else would this admission of ignorance[^] have been saved for posterity?
