I just saw an ad on saturday morning television for prostitution. Oh, well, I suppose we can tax it to pay for our damned health care. :sigh:

Chaining ourselves to the moral high ground does not make us good guys. Aside from making us easy targets, it merely makes us idiotic prisoners of our own self loathing.

On the bright side, whores at least are afforded the (small, perhaps) dignity of being paid. This is in contrast to sluts. Since far too many men these days treat women as sluts -- and far too many women are willing to be sluts -- perhaps it's a positive thing if women, as a general category of human being in our society, come to be seen as whores, rather than as merely sluts.

Why not? In Ohio they said they'd tax stupidity to pay for education (so, why not tax one of the most health-destructive of activities to pay for "health care"). It's a minor matter, isn't it, that the proceeds from the lottery made no difference in education?

Slut - Woman who enjoys sexual activity with multiple partners. There is no indignity. Whore - Woman who does not enjoy the sexual activity she has with multiple partners. The indignity is the act and the payment, for both parties.

In the 50s about 1 in every 10 girls 'would' without any seduction, with a bit of seduction 1 in every 2/3 'would'. In the 60s it was about the same. If you classify girls who 'would' as sluts, is this an acceptable percentage of women?

I don't really make a distinction between the sexes as far as sluttishness goes; just the way I was raised, I guess. At the same time, I have long noticed that the behaviors those men who claim to be so more "morally" advanced than I on this matter never seems to accord with their claims. Somehow, they never really like to learn that *their* woman is a slut, and like even less to learn that she's a whore. Somehow, even as they're treating their woman as a mere slut, they want to protect their daughter, if they've caused one to exist, from being treated likewise. Whouldn't it be easier to just stop treating women as sluts (and behaving oneself as a slut) and to admit that it was a grave moral error in the first place to do so?
