Up to you guys, but I would have thought something representative of what is here would be better. However, if you jointly feel that this place should be called The Illuminati, for example, then far be it for me to disabuse you all of any highfalutin notions you have ;)

Lounge -> Stays Soapbox -> I very much want this to stay as-is. TFFKATS -> I want to start fresh on this. You guys all know each other, all know where to find this place, and together you all made the Soapbox into something that wasn't intended. So I'll finish the job and rename it and it can, as I said, continue on in the manner you wish it to. (Only thing I haven't yet added are moderators) So a new name: "The Basement" seemed, ironically, to offend at least one here. So I'll try and keep a running update of potential names The Cave The Backroom The Cesspool TFFKATS ...

I'm not sure what you think a soapbox is for, I've always used the name as a justification for why you didn't at least try to weed out the trolls. Maybe the word means something different in Canadaustrailia than it does in the States  For that matter, maybe "The basement," does, too. . . The biggest argument I can give you about not keeping the soapbox as publicly available is - where do you think CSS is going to go to post his nonsense? For that matter, where will any of the trolls go? Not that we wouldn't be glad to see them gone. The number of deliberately inflamatory messages posted in here in the last week is considerably lower than it's ever been. Of the one's you mentioned (What's wrong with the "Caulk and Bull?) I like Back Room the best. As I said before, this is your site and I support your right to run it your way. As long as you seem amenable to input I may offer some, but I know who owns the hamster whips. Thanks for taking the time to listen

I've posted guidelines in the forums that, where needed, try and explain their purpose. >> where do you think CSS is going to go to post his nonsense? In the same place he always has. He knows where to find the old Soapbox and he's free to continue posting his nonsense there. If he posts inappropriate stuff outside the forums it gets removed. I'm partial to the Back Room too.

Good luck on getting consensus on name. What you going to do when the next name offends someone else? May be it is time to run a straw poll.

Okay, I don't usually post here (In fact, I'm not sure I ever have!) but I do lurk here now and again for the amusement factor. So, if a lurker can be said to have any say, The Back Room works pretty well as a name - it represents a place that isn't in view of the average customer, and where things might take place out of sight and out of mind.

I gave up trying to think of a good name for the Slightly Risque But Not Cellar-Depth Version Of The Lounge and so renamed it back to The Soapbox in the vein hope that it will be what I originally wanted it to be, and instead renamed this forum to be slightly more accurate. The place were you guys can gather around, play some poker, cuss and blaspheme and genuinely get up to no good without the oldies upstairs getting upset. If I could throw in an old bar and dart set I would.
