    Circumcision cuts hurt country people[^]

... "We will save many litres of water if more men were circumcised because there would be less fiddling in the shower to keep it clean.”

Mind you, I'm laughing only at the stupidity of the statement. edit: I can just as easily laugh at the idiots who try to equate circumcision with FGM.

Dr Cowie is quoted in the article as saying Circumcision gives almost complete protection against urinal tract infection and HIV HIV? Given that statement I dont think I'd want him anywhere near my family or I

I think you're misunderstanding him: he said (or was quoted) just enough of what he meant that someone who isn't *attending* to what he said can easily misconstrue it. For instance, you quoted only part of what he said, just enough to make it look as though he is a complete fool. The complete idea he means to get across is very badly phrased, but the idea is not stupid when correctly understood.

Circumcision gives almost complete protection against urinal tract infection comma or (better still) semi-colon and HIV and various transmitted diseases in general are more commonly acquired and transmitted by uncircumcised men. 2006 - Possibly[^] 2008 - Possibly not[^] Celibacy, anyone?. :)
