Weapons you must have at home [modified]

In the US everyone of the items mentioned can be had, the only exception is the silencer. I've always wanted to learn how to shoot a long bow/compound bow. Someday I will take the time. I'm in the process of acquiring a laser [^]for my smith and wesson model 60 (I'm going to kick my brother's arse at the range next time we go shooting)

They're really quite easy to make, though I'm not sure why one needs a silencer when shooting zombies.

B. Sound There is no question that zombies have excellent hearing. Not only can they detect sound-they can determine its direction. The basic range appears to be the same as that for humans. Experiments with extreme high and low frequencies have yielded negative results. Tests have also shown that zombies are attracted by any sounds, not just those made by living creatures. It has been recorded that ghouls will notice sounds ignored by living humans. The most likely, if unproven, explanation is that zombies depend on all their senses equally. Humans are sight oriented from birth, depending on other senses only if the primary one is lost. Perhaps this is not a handicap shared by the walking dead. I don't know how effective they are as a gunsight (How well do they remain aligned under use, vibration , and general abuse of the pistol?), but they are one heck of a terror inducer.

Cool. Given that the laser is not straight down the barrel of the gun would it require adjustment for different ranges? Can it detect the range and adjust itself?

It would be enough to know that the entry wound would always be 1 cm to the right of the red dot... At ranges sufficient for gravity to play a role, you should switch to a rifle anyway.

This article sold me on the laser. I have not bought it yet, but I think I will in next 3 months. click[^]
