You're too sensitive. I never stayed up with either kid, I don't have the equipment to feed them. I know men who got their wives to express milk and did the red eye shift, but, not me.

It's not a question of feeding, he wakes because he wont resettle himself not because he's hungry. Unfortunately our house is not big enough for me to sleep far enough away from him to not be woken up. We've done the controlled crying thing, we've followed the advice of the baby health care center, of tresillian[^], of some of the books available on the subject, tried every old wives tail etc it's just the luck of the draw that we ended up with a baby that doesnt like to sleep.

Hang in there... one day you'll wake up and it will be 7am (or 9am as it was for us with our first one after a late night out) and panic because the baby hasn't woken up... and you'll be punching air because he's slept through the night!! Of course, I'm at the other end of the scale now - ours won't sleep in any more!! Rain, hail, shine, light, dark, in between - the little blighters get up at between 5 and 5:30am!!

Yeah, that's all it is. Every baby is different, you'll be amazed later at how much of their personality they were born with. And as was said, you'll get through it. It's just time.

Yep and we have a happy, smiling, giggling, healthy baby who's much loved by his parents and other family so we really cant complain.

And I thought I was still hung over when I heard the stuff about GM. Wow. Too bad they didn't do it to all of the banks and anybody else begging for taxpayer money. And, I nearly forgot. While at the GDC we negotiated two new contracts. The company is going to be busy, I am glad I sold it. And, most importantly, My wife and I just found out we expecting our second child in November! I'd rather share it with this group since we've bonded and all that since the soapbox has become forum non grata :)

Thanks, I appreciate it. The GDC is big annual game devlopers conference. Mostly useless like the MS events but occasionaly it's worth the time and money.
