gridview validation not working within upadate panel

hi, I am devloping a web application in which i am using gridview with its template field and apply update panel on it. but what happen the validation on gridview is not working properly.and when i remove the update panel its working correctly. I m unable to find why its happen can any on ehelp me for the same.
