    Now I really am confused.[^]

Chaining ourselves to the moral high ground does not make us good guys. Aside from making us easy targets, it merely makes us idiotic prisoners of our own self loathing.

I saw this being "explained" on Fox tonight. I laughed my ass off. My favorite part was when the oh-so concerned environmentalist explained that when the hole in the Ozone healed itself then the Antartic would begin to melt once more. Apparently the best way to save the ice is to start spraying freon into the atmosphere immediately.

The really funny part is that some have suggested distributing reflective particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect sun light and cool the earth. And, shit, we were already doing it!

I think that, with Obama leading the fight, we are going to be gloriously successful at fighting global warming. Within a relatively short time we will have eliminated greenhouse gases by 99%. At which point the gradual cooling of the earth that started in the 40's will resume and within a few years Ohio will be under a glacier and South Carolina will have snow six months of the year. The sea levels will rise until NYC is six feet under water. Mayor Bloomberg will immediately announce a tax on aqualungs in order to provide flippers to the homeless. Meanwhile the vast migration south will cause Mexico to attempt to build a wall at the border, but they will be unable to stop the flood of illegal aliens into their country. . .

Isn't the ozone hole, at least in part, related to earth's magnetic field -- which, by the by, is decaying.

You're a gullible moron if you think "Dr" Barnes used valid theories, valid data, and valid conclusions when he formulated that worthless junk. You're an idiot and you should stick to reading your little bloggers' and journalists' articles and stay away from things with genuine intellectual merit.

Whatever are you on about, you pathetically intellectually-dishonest fool? Wikipedia: Earth's magnetic field - Magnetic field detection[^]

You fail again. http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Hangar/2437/magnetic.htm[^] "In 1971, Barnes pointed out that, according to the data he had, the strength of the dipole component of the earth's magnetic field (measured in a unit known as a "gauss") has decreased between six and seven percent since it was first measured in 1835. Barnes then made the assumption that ALL of the non-dipole measurements constituted meaningless "noise", and asserted that only the dipole elements of the magnetic field are generated by the core. He further concluded that, because of the measured decrease in field strength, this dipole field must be decaying exponentially, with a half-life of approximately 1,400 years. Thus, Barnes calculated, by about 10,000 years ago, the earth's magnetic field would have so strong that life would have been impossible. Therefore, he concluded, the earth cannot be more than 10,000 years old. ... The Barnes/Humphreys hypothesis does not stand up to analysis. Barnes is correct that the dipole element of the magnetic field has indeed decreased in strength since the 19th century. However, as geologist Brent Dalrymple points out, "Barnes completely neglects the nondipole field. The same observatory measurements that show that the dipole moment has decreased since the early 1800's also show that this decrease has almost been completely balanced by an increase in the strength of the total observed field which has remained almost constant.""

Once again, what moronic jag are you on? Scientific measurments of Earth's magnetic field over the past century and a half show it to be decaying. But then, you "science" worshippers never really care about actual science or actual scientific results/findings, do you?

Stop being an attention-seeking fool? Figure out that there may be a reason that people tend to ignore you?

It's shown the dipole to be decreasing.

Consider this: Creationist 'scientists' have a great deal to be gained by producing specific results, i.e. ones that point to a young earth. They will lie and falsify information in order to obtain these results, and then they sell their books and religion and whatever else. Actual scientists, on the other hand, only make money and earn a good reputation by discovering breakthroughs, and publishing in prestigious journals, and making very reliable and trustworthy experiments, and NOT conspiring against the Christian community.

I was even nice to you, for a time. But it's hard to like someone who only likes himself.
