You, of course, misrepresent. And, since you do it intentionally, you lie.

As it turns out, alleged-President Obama was in my hometown that day. Goodness! I wonder how he reacted to seeing that 10-storey mural[^] of the real Messiah.

Yep here's my 'lie:' "Abortion is morally wrong -- murder (*) -- or it is not. Trimesters have nothing to do with it. (*) The only exception is in those very rare instances in which the pregnancy is *actually* endangering the mother's life. The goal in these very few cases is not to kill the unborn child, but to save the life of the mother." - Ilion, Friday, April 18, 2008 8:17 AM[^] And later the same day: With abortion, there are very few instance in which killing the unborn human being is not murder, but there is one general case in which it is not: in which the mother's life honestly is endangered by the pregnancy. [^] Now if only Nancy Pelosi would start taking after me rather than you...

;P Who'd have thought it? Troy is pro-abortion. I wonder where exactly he draws the line?

Nice words. Your words or a quote from someone else? Troy never answers any of the questions people ask him. He must think he's above conversations, yet he still seems to seek approval. :sigh:

No way they're my words. My soul is as dry and ugly as I am incapable of writing. It's by Kahlil Gibran.

I assume you're just prodding him for fun, because it's him. I hope you wouldn't employ the same tactic to someone else, say me, for holding just about the same belief. If so, then I suppose I'd have to admit that I'm not against the less than 1% of abortions that threaten the mother. But even then, I wouldn't say pro-abortion. But like I said, I assume this is special Iliot treatment. Though it kind of disturbs me to see the list of people who jumped on the band-wagon. Which kind of turned it from an attack on Iliot to an attack on the argument. So of course, since it's pretty damn close to my argument, I found it a bit distasteful. But I can't really blame you for their behavior.

Assuming, of course, that sympathy and respect weren't aborted. ;)

I'm not sure how I feel about abortion.

I've said, fairly recently, that I despise the absolutists on both sides of the question. The only answer is, "It depends on the circumstances." Only the simplistic souls like Ilion who need to be for or against everything and decry anyone who disagrees with them think that those who are not anti-abortion in all cases are pro abortion. Likewise, those who believe that unless you approve of using third trimester partial birth abortions to make lives a little more convenient, you are anti-abortion are unspeakably vile creatures. Nonetheless, watching Troy twist slowly, slowly, in the wind contributes to a good morning - along with dumping a new project out on the production server. ;)

So... Are you saying it's possible that sympathy and respect were aborted?

2 hours and 4 minutes for a pithy come-back! Well done! The Gin industry rejoices at my copious ability to imbibe it is true. Diagio's shares owe a great deal to my after work snifters. I cannot deny it, I do like the odd drink. Now, how about you? What do you like? [Apart from blonde haired boys, leather and oil]

I thought as much. Just checking. However, before I shake the dust from my feet, I do feel obligated to point out that poking Troy for fun is technically evil. Not really really evil, mind you, and damn few would hold it against you. Just saying, as a good Christian boy, I'm ethically required to let you know, in case you didn't. ;)

But like Lucifer who Ilion claims is my father, I do it for the sake of good. Showing Troy how badly he would be outmatched in Hell, may get him to repent of his ways and yet achieve Heaven.
