I agree! It's pasta all the way in my house.

Brown rice is the way for me. Much more healthy!

Answer the question: Why do you post here when the vast majority of regular posters on codeproject who have come into contact with you think that you are stupid and purile? no ambiguity, give an answer.

Ilíon seems intelligent so I don't understand why he can't get the question.

When you get so much rubbish throw at you and very few if any one agrees with you why do you keep on putting stuff on this site?

Don't waste your time: he's incapable of answering questions other than with vitriol and childish retorts regardless of the question posed. He is what we here in the UK would call a 'tosser', plain and simple. He's the sort of person, if I saw him on fire on the other side of the street, I would not cross over to piss on him.

I do it's in the body of the original message.

Really? I see some implicit (and invalid) assumptions. Once those are dealt with, there's nothing left of the OP. Surely you can see my conundrum?
My interpretation was this: Why do you return to this message board repeatedly when many of the times you attempt to defend your viewpoints you are ridiculed and despised? By the way, one question of my own. No offence intended, just curious. What religion are you?

And you certainly know a thing or two about that, don't you? Does it disconcert you that your attempts to ridicule me have no effect?

I'm a Christian.

That's OK. You're the sort of person that if there were a fire in your belly I couldn't be bothered to piss down your throat to put it out.

I'm not disconcerted in the slightest, because on this occasion I'm not trying to ridicule you. I simply gave you my interpretation of the question, since you seem to have had a little difficulty understanding the original phrasing. If only you could answer an honest question without assuming I'm attempting to mock you
Ilíon wrote:

Meh. I really don't care what people think about me. I have far more important things to worry about than the opinion of someone a few hundred thousand miles away Incidentally, to answer your question, I would know about being ridiculed. But I've come out of that particular stage of my life stronger than before, with more friends and only one minor irritation

Did I even imply otherwise? Simply pointing out history.

You seem to have missed the point. The two sentences go together as one complete thought.

My apologies. I was under the impression that you were referring to the text you were quoting

I was also under the impression that you personally despised and ridiculed me. I responded accordingly, and I didn't realise that you weren't ridiculing me at the time Either way, I would be interested to know your response to the question posed, so that I can understand every regular poster here a little better

 That's too, too funny.   (see?) Your very first post I ever noticed and most of them that I have happened to notice are lame attempts to ridicule me or attempt to get my goat. And you want to whinge because if I do choose to respond to you I actually respond to you? Amazing!

Ilion, you should continue believing that everyone who knows you, despises and ridicules you. It's true.

I dislike whinging, and I try to avoid it as much as possible. It is also true that my first post to you was because, from my perspective, you were being a tiresome little boy, screaming out at the world because no-one listened to your arguments. However, I've been attempting to stop these habits as of late. Of course, since you seem to respond with vitriol no matter what I post, my attempts at mannners are pointless. Thanks for teaching me that؟ To be honest, I'm getting a little bored of this conversation. My usual attention entropy rate is about three or four replies. You win, etcetera, etcetera. But back to the original question. Why do you return when you are ridiculed so much? Something else I just thought of. You're a Christian. But there are hundreds of different types - Catholic, Protestant, Methodist to name just a few. Which of these sub-types do you belong to? What is the name of your religion?
