The Government Representatives never fail to demonstrate an extremity of laziness and inertia
-
I think, any government in the world always gets to be proven that projects/initiatives started as part of the government (unlike a private entrepreneurial venture) stands testimony for extreme inertia, demonstrated laziness, pristine procrastination for every available instance. I am trying to get the latest 'Mobile Number Portability' initiative in India as a salient example to illustrate the abovesaid statement. The government in India is trying to get this at least from 2006. The latest and the most concrete statement that was floating around for a few months was 'Would be implemented from September 2009'. Today's press release from the ministry had the let cat out of the bag. There is a schedule slippage again. It has been deferred to October. http://www.hindu.com/2009/06/02/stories/2009060254701000.htm[^]

The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep!I agree with you. I'll use your exact example. Jordan, which has a total population less than many Indian cities, has had slippages and delays for MNP since January 2006 when it was supposed to have been implemented. And yet, millions have been spent, in wages and bribes all that time and they go completely unaccounted for.

They probably should outsource it.

there simply is not an icon worthy enough.
Mike - typical white guy. The USA does have universal healthcare, but you have to pay for it. D'oh. Thomas Mann - "Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil." The NYT - my leftist brochure. Calling an illegal alien an “undocumented immigrant” is like calling a drug dealer an “unlicensed pharmacist”. God doesn't believe in atheists, therefore they don't exist.

Obviously neither of you appreciate the benefits of true American-style governing.

Well, and you would know this, I'm a bit of an idealist. If I had it my way? These people who squandered public funds ought to be tried. Jordan is in no way a financial powerhouse and can't afford squandering like this.
