June 6th is the International Day of Slayer[^]. :)

Hmm, I wonder how Dead Skin Mask would go over at the office? *sigh* dare to dream.

Headphones. And if you office doesn't allow headphones or give you a private office then you should start looking for a new job today. :)

Accept is another killer metal band. And, of course, Judas Priest. But, Maiden is king.

lol Never heard of Accept. Priest had it's moments. But, as you say, Maiden is king. What's your favorite album? For me it's pretty hard to choose, but if pressed I'd prolly have to say Seventh Son.

I'll start lobbying for a private office since listening to Slayer invokes an involuntry 'air drumming' reflex that others may find distracting. :)

A lot of people love Seventh Son. I cheat and say 'Live after Death'. But, Number of the Beast is tempting, b/c Hallowed be thy name is by far my favourite Maiden song.

I was at the recording of Live After Death at the Long Beach Arena, as well as the World Wide Live tour by the Scorpians at the LA Forum, and then I saw Saxon and Accept at the Santa Monica Civic center which is also where I saw Venom/Slayer/Exodus. All within a couple of years when a teenager. '85 I think.

Actually on the National Day of Slayer you're commanded to play it without headphones and force it upon all of those who would object.

I'd have to agree about Hallowed. But overall album, I think Seventh is ever-so-slightly better than Power Slave, Piece of Mind, Number and Stranger. Do you listen to any of Bruce's solo stuff? Accident of Birth is one of my favorite albums ever.

I am reading a bio of Bruce at the moment, and it's making me want to dig out the solo albums and listen to them again. Yes, I do own them. I suspect I don't have Skunkworks, but that's about it. I also have a huge 'Tattooed Millionaire' poster on my wall.

I never really got into Skunkworks. Not sure why either, it just never really appealed to me. I loved Chemical Wedding almost as much as Accident of Birth. But Tattooed Millionaire was special, and totally different. I have some fond memories of delivering pizza in college listening to Zulu Lulu and Dive Dive Dive. I didn't know he had a biography out. I may have to pick it up.
