For the U.S. it seems to be pretty much out of sight, out of mind. The proof of the pudding will come this fall. I just hope it doesn't mutate further.

We are going into winter here, so there's a reason for more concern on this end of the pond. But, the mainstream reaction is mostly ignorance. I know someone who sprays her food with disinfectant when she gets home from shopping. I'm talking fresh veggies, not just stuff in boxes.

So, the paper is reporting daily on increased quarantine suggestions, and people are asking questions like 'my elderly mother lives alone and never leaves the house, will she get it ?'. The human capacity for stupidity seems to have no bounds.

You shouldn't expect a speedy response. He's busy googling 'liberal' and 'utopia', he'll get back to you later, when he has resolved which (if any) of the many interpretations of 'liberal utopia' best fits his concept of the imminent New World Order.
