Time to migrate back to Europe

Chaining ourselves to the moral high ground does not make us good guys. Aside from making us easy targets, it merely makes us idiotic prisoners of our own self loathing.
So when do you head out?

Bring along a spare baseball bat to deal with the BNP while you're at it. The bastards got a seat in Yorkshire & Humberside.

That'll probably be the party I join then. I would never join a party like that in the US, but if I were living somewhere I was genetically indigenous to, why not? Nothing wrong with it is there?

Wouldn't it be far more productive to honestly ask yourselves why the "bastards" have any appeal to the voters?

You only have to watch the speech by the first one to make it in to see part of the reason. They present themselves as reasonable and "in touch" with the people and their current concerns (which are many, considering the current expenses fiasco and the dictatorial way our current government is behaving), but it's all superficial...dig a bit deeper and you uncover the real nasty stuff (e.g. the candidates past in the National Socialist movement and the National Front) - some of which the election coverage dug into. To me it was quite frankly terrifying. The reasonable face of Nazism being given airtime on the BBC.

That strawman is beneath your dignity Stan. Take a closer look. They are Nazis...

Of course European conservatives favour things like single payer health care. A larger proportion would be Democrats in US terms. Perhaps Lebanon would be a better bet: Pro-Western Bloc Defeats Hezbollah in Lebanon Vote[^] I wonder if there is any Obama effect in that result.

Not at all. You won't find me calling (for example) David Cameron or Norman Tebbit Nazis, but Nick Griffin and Co. as surely are as you are a strawman (and a pretty piss poor one at that). I'm off to bed now, so don't think that any further drivel you post will be read by me because it won't be....

I take such claims with a grain of salt. They are meant to invoke harsh emotions.

Which only means that you make excuses for them. You don't take most claims with a grain of salt.
