Folks Why do some people need to find reason to post critical and unhelpful posts on articles whatever their nature? Can it be that they can't write as good an article themselves and must resort to senseless comments ? Regardz Colin J Davies

You are the intrepid one, always willing to leap into the fray! A serious character flaw, I might add, but entertaining. Said by Roger Wright about me.

It is the age old basic animal trait of "I am better than you", mixed with the insecurity of knowing they aren't. I used to see the same thing all the time in the playground and the classroom at school.

If it can't be done with Lego and a little pinch of imagination then it just aint possible.

I couldn't agree with you more, if you look at a comment[^] on one of my articles, you can see what they have to say worthless, it is not constructive at all, and at end their English is horrid. Nick, You have to wonder, in the end... do you really care what someone who calls himself BLaZiNiX thinks of your article. Looked pretty useful to me. P Paul

Oh, I know, he was probably just some punk kid that thought he was being cute. I didn't buy into it or let it bother me, Colin does have a point, I mean what is the purpose to making such comments. Nick Parker wrote: Thanks, it's just a beginner article on C# though. And considering the number of people who are currently beginners in C#, that strikes me as particularly useful. Like the whining Blaze, I'm pretty much beyond needing this article but I sure as hell wish I'd had something like that earlier. Some people think that if an article is not useful to them then it's not useful. I beg to differ. I'm working on my first article now and I'm beginning to realise that it's not as easy as it looks and people like that have made me think twice about finishing it. But screw 'em. I figure that if I've had to spend time working out how to do something (in this case, creating something that looks like a RichTextBox but with different default properties, in C#) then it's worthy of an article. Besides, writing it has helped me focus my own mind on WHY I've had to do certain things, rather than just WHAT I've had to do. Paul

Look at the article release date (i.e. - Feb. 27th), I believe that is the same day that the .NET Framework was released for live use, out of beta. :) Paul Riley wrote: Besides, writing it has helped me focus my own mind on WHY I've had to do certain things, rather than just WHAT I've had to do. That is exactly what I have found when writing articles, you tend to learn a lot more when you have to explain WHY you are doing it. :) Nick Parker
