Recently i started to work on share point.I am the site administrator to my team site. I am not aware where my share point server is running from. i saw the steps to create a custom webpart. It shows that we need to change the webconfig file and many other changes. All these changes needs to be made where? From what i understand i think to add custom webpart that is visible to all sites you need to have a central administartion access and make change to the place where share point is installed. Can someone confirm. If wrong please correct me?
