Anyone want a skunk?
-
It's strictly take-away, mind you. I'm not going near it! I set a live-trap, hoping to catch one of the raccoons. There is a skunk in the trap ... and I live in the middle of a city of 50,000. I hate the idea of causing an animal to suffer, but it's just going to have to die before I'll go near the trap.
What a surprise - you proclaim yourself to be a 'true Christian', yet as soon as any effort is involved, suddenly the Bible isn't good enough for you.

Critter's probably dead by now, but you didn't think to call the city's animal control why? This is the kind of crap they deal with, and if it's already caged all the better than having to chase it down.

Even when I was a partially educated hick living in Ohio, I knew how to treat animals. In fact, I had a pet skunk. All I did was grow up and get away from knuckle draggers like you. Call Animal Control or something since you seem to live in a fucking city, shithead.
You measure democracy by the freedom it gives its dissidents, not the freedom it gives its assimilated conformists.

Ilion, I've mostly refrained from making any personal attacks, but allowing an animal, yes even a skunk, starve to death because you are too concerned for you sense of smell puts you in the class of truly selfish bastards. As has been said, you set the trap, take responsibility for your actions, deal with the consequences.
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity RAH

So I've mostly noticed.

Do you have any idea what in the hell you're talking about?

I set the trap for raccoons. And even if I *had* let the skunk die slowly, I was not denying anything.

shoot the poor bloody thing
I was present once when a farmer shot a skunk. Wow, did that turn out to be the wrong answer. Nobody could stand to get within 50 yards of it for several days.

I did shoot this thing the next morning. Withing minutes, the whole house was engulfed with the stench, which remained almost unbearable for several hours, into the afternoon. And, even the next day, I could still smell it (and, at the basement door, where the skunk was, the stench was strong for days).

Then I second the "a**hole" comment. Call your local SPA - you caught it, you have a responsibility for it's welfare, whether you like it or not.

No, you don't. You don't care about anything but your own stupid ego. Get a clue, dumb fuck.

Just put a posting on craigslist for a free "cat". It's been my experience that anything you put on there marked free will be gone within 15 minutes. Doesn't seem to matter if it's anything of value or not.

Well, 2nd asswipe, you *clearly* have no idea how pointless that is. Why not shut your trap until you know what you're talking about.
It took you a week to come up with that witty rejoinder? Stupid, as well as cruel and self-centred.

What is it about people like you? Why do you sort always assume that the sordid details of your pathetic lives must be transferable to others' (or that we want to know those sordid details)?

Chuck cage complete with skunk into 44 gallon drum of water. No the most humane solution but better than letting it starve.
I wish I was as fortunate as fortunate as me

You're not paying attention, are you? This is a skunk! The issue was not killing it, but getting near it. Aside from the fact that I could never *drown* an animal, even if I could bring myself to do such a horrible thing, I'd still have to get personally acquainted with the skunk.

No it wasn't. I borrowed a gun and shot him.

I've tried that before; they're useless ... and expensive. And there's nothing more useless than something which is both useless and expensive.

Because the dickless little_fuck wouldn't have been able to get his sadistic jollies if he'd called the authorities. They'd probably have arrested him for animal cruelty.

Is this something that I can verify to be true by the fact that you have said it?
