11 million views? It is an embarrassment to humanity that this takes priority over serious issues.

Do you understand that saying (most frequently said of "liberals" and other leftists) that "he loves mankind ... and hates men."

On a show that, for the most part takes itself far too seriously, they were quite a funny and entertaining act. They certainly didnt take themselves too seriously! Of course, I dont watch that crap though, honest guv!

                The Chronicle of an Undeception[^]

... I had to learn to stare squarely into that face in the mirror, into the face of hard, fallen reality, and not to flinch. I did not, in fact I could not, comprehend the tragic vision of life until I learned that the problem of the human heart is at the heart of the human problem. Once I examined with care and honesty the habits of my own heart and those of my dissident friends, I learned that C. S. Lewis was right: to be one of the sons of Adam or the daughters of Eve is both glory enough to raise the head of the lowest beggar and shame enough to lower the head of the highest king. I am a human being. That is my wealth; that is my poverty. ...

I can understand it being said (as a jibe) of "Puritans" of any persuasion who cannot reconcile themselves to those (generally, the majority) who do not accept their concept of an ideal mankind. I understand that as a mere statement, it is a nonsense.

The Chronicle of an Undeception[^] I confess to believing at one time or another nearly all the pervasive and persistent fantasies of the sixties. In the words of Joni Mitchell's anthem for the Woodstock nation, I thought all I had to do was "get back to the land to set my soul free." I thought that flowers had power, that love could be free, and that the system was to blame. By 1968, I had the whole world figured out. I knew the cause of every evil — America — and I knew the solution to every problem — freedom and tolerance. Well, I didn't. Gullible, ain't he? I suppose that's why he took to theology.

Bob Emmett I solemnly declare that I do not wish the USA to be more like Britain, Canada, or Oz.

And yet, I never believed any of that 60's crap ... and I also "took to theology." Perhaps you comment is but a reflection of your inability to think critically?

You're an embarrassment to humanity. I don't see you pulling the plug on yourself. Oh, did I mention, I have your YouTube debut available?

You measure democracy by the freedom it gives its dissidents, not the freedom it gives its assimilated conformists.

Need your gullibility be assessed by the same measure as that of Mr. Bauman? Perhaps your comment is but a reflection of your inability to think critically?

Michael Bauman: the pervasive and persistent fantasies of the sixties I would imagine Mr. Bauman has the edge in attempting to discourse on the divine.
