My dad took me to a church that told me all metal was of the devil and every rock bands members were in the church of satan. Good to see the stupidity continues.

I don't think that site is stupid so much as I think it seeks only to inform. Read the About page, and it's very much true. I can walk into Johannesburg and find strange occult symbols, in carved relief, in the construction of normal buildings. I'm sure the author would enjoy informing my of their meaning in general, and possible meaning in context.

So long as it's understood that use of such symbols doesn't prove any prior knowledge, let alone involvement in such things. That symbolism has been mainstream for a long time, and some of the stuff they find in, for example, Disney movies, is bound to be a little ludicrous. Either way, 'do what thou wilt', is nothing more than a way to get some attention.

I have read Dan Brown, and no that Occult has nothing to do with the Devil, it comes from Occultation which means hidden. It was stuff the church hid to preserve it's own power. Must be true, it is in The Lost Symbol! :)

Rather 'modality', instead of 'mentality'. Some mentalities are fixed in a certain modality, where others are experienced and aware enough to explore multiple modalities without fear of losing their 'real' self. I like you term, "mind program". The big question is, so what ? I mean, if the symbols are that ubiquitous in our society, and we agree there's no actual 'occult power', what does it matter if kids see them ? What will it do to them ? The people commenting on that site mostly seemed to think that this is proof that listening to rap music means you will go to hell ( I'd say the answer is they are right, but they get the time frame wrong, watching that clip WAS hell )
