Can you define "Cult of personality"?

I wish I was as fortunate as fortunate as me

Sure - it's a song by Living Color.

Its my country at stake here. Its my business when a cult of personality is being inflicted upon innocence. This is the type of shit N. Korean and other dictators do.

It is indeed. But, was this dictated by your Dear Leader to be performed in all schools, every day? Or is it just the product of some brainless public school teacher? Anyway, does this sort of thing stick? 1950 and 1951, I can remember all the kids in the playground singing: Vote, vote, vote for Mr Attlee, Kick old Churchill out the door. If I had a penny gun, I would shoot him in the bum. So I won't vote for Churchill any more. It was popular with us kids because it was a great chant with a "rude" word in it. And, of course, we all voted Labour ever after.

Me too. You would expect them to have been taught to enunciate clearly by their age. You can hardly make out what they are saying, except Obama's name.

Agreed... I think Obama is a relatively decent pres, but this is just brainwashing... Horrible.

No, it isn't. It will be water off a duck's back. Most teaching is. :)

Children shouldn't be indoctrinated into a cult of personality, they need to lean about defending the constitution and their freedoms.

This is a commonly used argument. However, what you really mean is that children should only be indoctrinated with the things you believe in.

Everyone understands why a person like you Christan, would think it is okay for a small group of unelected self-perpetuated bankers to rule over governments. If you really cared about people, you wouldn't want people to be forcibly sterilized and you wouldn't want to forcibly abort woman's children. Even a criminal has some moral principles. Don't you even care about the suffering that your worldview causes? A person who blatantly disregards humanity for his own selfish satisfaction is purely sickening. Why don't you ever admit you are a nasty vile creature and change your ways? Some people would lynch you if you spewed out your powermad eugenics beliefs.

You do not speak for everyone, but only for yourself. What many of us do understand is that posting this sort of falsehood time and time again shows you to be incapable of rational discussion. So, when the day finally dawns that you do have something useful to say, there will be very few takers.

And even that's somewhat garbled. I doubt that any of these children have the remotest idea who Obama is; to them it's just a silly song they learn in school. I'd love to see a film of one of them singing it at home to their redneck parents. BTW I don't remember the Vote for Attlee song, even though I was at school in Manchester in 50/51.
