At the same time, I was indirectly making reference to "the other side of the thread." I just didn't want to take the time to find a news item I recall from the past couple of years (also from UK, as it turns out) where someone caused others' death by "playing with his iPhone" while driving ... and, as I recall, got basically a slap on the wrist.

Bloody iPhones Almost two years ago the company I work for bought every employee a 1st generation iPhone for xmas. Around half of them no longer work. The really amazing thing is that a lot of the people who's iPhones died in less than two years went and bought the 3gs model. It's like paying a builder to build you a house every two years because they keep falling down.

Any company that tries to lock me into any "proprietry" hardware has got a snowflakes chance of getting my business. Software tools etc..., well, I can let that slide,....sorta :^)
