How did you learn to be so creative in your choice of words? When you flame someone, you're not just torching the guy verbally, you incinerate every damn word he's ever uttered. Are you spoken words just as good as your written? If so and if we ever meet, remind me not to start arguing with you. I couldn't stand the embarrassment. ;) -- Please state the nature of your medical emergency.

You are the intrepid one, always willing to leap into the fray! A serious character flaw, I might add, but entertaining. Said by Roger Wright about me.

In my years of experience developing the art of verbally slashing someone to shreds, I've found that "damn" doesn't invoke the same emotions as "fuckin". I blame the FCC - they allow "bitch", "ass", and "damn" on TV now, and society is way to fuckin used to those words now, and that's a damn shame. ------- signature starts "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001 Please review the Legal Disclaimer in my bio. ------- signature ends

How did you learn to be so creative in your choice of words? When you flame someone, you're not just torching the guy verbally, you incinerate every damn word he's ever uttered. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I'm not interested in being brief, so I try to use complete and properly constructed sentences. Just because you stripping someone of every last particle of self-esteem does not preclude the use of proper english (and even more important - spelling). Are you spoken words just as good as your written? If so and if we ever meet, remind me not to start arguing with you. I couldn't stand the embarrassment. How many times have you been mad enough or annoyed enough to trip offline and launch into some of the stuff we see here? For me, almost never. Face-to-face insults are almost always limited to just a few expletives, sometimes followed by a flurry of punches (usually with a moderate amount of privacy). When you're online, you have an opportunity to fine-tune your message, and fine-tune you must if you want to trash someone and still A) promote the impression that you appear to know what you're talking about, and B) generate an aire of mystery and surprise for your audience so that they never really know what to expect from you. It pays to be pedantic, and always be tenacious enough to have the last word, but there's always the danger of stepping over the unspoken line of complete unacceptability where flaming is concerned. This line moves with the topic, and it's often the most challenging part of the artful flame. I was thinking about holding seminars across the country, so that I might pass on my knowledge to others (for money of course - I ain't stupid). My most infamous episode here was concerning the Quran article. That was loads of fun and I was saddened to see the topic die. ------- signature starts "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001 Please review the Legal Disclaimer in my bio. ------- signature ends
