han. Qt Creator, Codelite, Anjuta or code:block. Monodevelop can be used as a editor. Thank you.

CODEBLOCKS. I recently tried it and liked it very much. Not sure what it's like to develop GUI driven apps, though. It had a feel similar to Visual Studio.
Code::Blocks is quite good. But it doesn't offer much options for customizing.

Vim is most powerful IDE in linux. if you can not use text-base IDE then you can use Eclipse , Kdevelop , QT and ... enjoy it.
