Why don't you call Canon Support and ask them?

hmmm... if so, why does everybody need to post the question in CP forum. Any question should be ask to the company that produce the product or the software directly. no need discussion or sharing knowledge/expereince in CP forum.

Depends what the question is about. If its a problem with code then someone with experience can probably help. When its something like this, which is a product specification, then the best bet is to contact the manufacturer or try google. I mean, realistically, why would you expect anyone on a programming forum to know this? The same applies to questions about 3rd party controls, the vendor is the best person to ask.

They don't need to but too often it's because they cannot make the effort to search in the obvious place for the answer, but just assume that someone here on CP will do it for them.

Yes, that is what I expected for. Because I try to search on the net and did not found the information that I need, that is why I try to check in here if anyone expereince with this printer.

I tried already in google and the Canon website in Asia but I could not get an information that I need. I hope someone in here might used it because this place mix of people around the world. And here is not a programming forum. It is General IT forum, if the question is not relevant to someone to answer, just ignore it. I never push them to answer my question. What I hope is there expereince if they already used this product.

You tell us?? CP is dedicated to programming and you're asking about hardware specifications...

That's the best place to ask since they developed said hardware/software!

As I already said, since CP is dedicated to programming, the chances of someone who answers questions reguarly having such a printer are very low. You'd have a MUCH higher chance of getting an obscure question such as this answered by asking the people who built the printer. You ask in the most appropriate place to have the greatest chance of an answer. If it was me, I probably be looking in the manual first, and if I didn't have that, searching on Canon's site for a downloadable version, and beyond that, calling up Canon's Tech Support.

You tried Google? Well, you didn't try that hard. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&safe=off&rlz=1B3GGGL_enGB311GB311&num=100&newwindow=1&q=canon+lbp+5000+specs+%2Bpaper&btnG=Search&meta=&aq=f&oq=[^] From that query, this was found http://www.canon.co.uk/For_Home/Product_Finder/Printers/Laser/i-SENSYS_LBP5000/index.asp?specs=1[^] and from that I quote Media Weights Cassette (Standard and optional): 60 to 163 g/m² Manual feed slot: 60 to 163 g/m²
