Tyranny... redux
-
Following Private Wee Parts post Tyranny...[^], I Googled to find any news item supporting this video. I posted a link to the Huffington Post, but I was not satisfied, as that publication, too, has an agenda. YouTube is full of the 'official' Phelim McAleer video, but here is a video[^] of the whole of the press conference. Huffington was wrong on stating that Mr. McAleer (the unidentified man) did not jump onto the stage, but he was out of the audience, at the table You can note that, at the end of the conference, Mr. McAleer is safe and well, seated among the audience, no gun to his head. Dr. Schneider even lets him have a free copy of his book.

Of course they do. They are well known for this, much like quoting the Weekly Standard. As you found, and I suspected, the whole affair is actually quite benign. Having a civil discussion isn't what PWP wants. Like most he wants glitz and glamor to follow his news. It must be exciting, but derriere and filled with troublesome facts. That's why when you strip away most news publications you're left with very little actual provable information. When Obama called Fox News talk radio, he simply verbalized what I've been thinking for a while now about them. They're mostly opinion, just from a different angle. The other channels have their sensationalist moments, but not to the point of calling people racists, traitors, etc ad nauseaum. It first hit me when I was looking at Yahoo videos and found that Fox News had so many more opinion videos than any other news outlet posted.

I have never understood why people suck up stuff that merely confirms their opinions. Can't see the harm in being made to change your mind occasionally.

It's increasingly started to miff my sense of objectivity. corrected grammar

CSS can't change his mind. He's utterly incapable, as I've proven with the "black propaganda" threads :) If he screwed up and claimed that "6 x 9 = 42", he'd start arguing that he MEANT to say it was in base 13, rather than admit it was simply wrong.
Proud to have finally moved to the A-Ark. Which one are you in? Author of Guardians of Xen (Sci-Fi/Fantasy novel)

Being wrong isn't the end of the world either, he just doesn't think he is.

No, he just thinks he's "everything that is good and right"...
