      I did not understand. You are trying to get a handle to a specific icon ? What does this have to do with the computer name ?

        You need two functions: SHGetFolderPath()[^] (XP and earlier) or ShGetKnownFolderPath()[^] (Vista and later) and SHGetFileInfo()[^]
