I'd recommend a Caramel Frappuccino with a couple of shots of espresso in it. Of course, if you don't have a Starbucks near you...well...I honestly don't know what I'd do without a Starbucks... This is why America doesn't ban firearms. Firearms were banned in Australia and crime rose...nearly 80%. What does this all tell you?
That some people are stupid enough to believe the crap shovelled by the gun lobby. 1. Australians have NEVER armed themselves the way the US does. 2. We banned only automatic weapons 3. Crime did not rise 4. Our government wrote to Mr. Heston asking him to stop lying about what happens in our country 5. Because we've never had guns in the population the way you guys do, we've had a total of 2 people going mad with guns shooting people to my knowledge, no school shootings, and no snipers. We have a lot less murder than the US, also. You must not be a regular, these things have been discussed before when people try to bring up this crap. It is simply not true. These people claimed to be members of the IRA.. wichi the obviously weren't, but you just don't take a chance. And Ciarán isn't from this area [he's from Dublin] so martial arts of not, 4 people against one... it's not worth it. At least now he has his health... and everythign else was insured... Brian Delahunty wrote: Maybe it's the "cowards" view of things Not at all - if you get out unhurt, then you can replace some 'stuff'. If they kill you, you're dead. It's just not worth it. One on one, I'd have a go, but four on one, you'd be stupid. And as you said, if you lived in a country where you could have had a gun, they would certainly have had them, and you WOULD both be dead. I'm really sorry to hear this happened to you - I'm glad you're OK physically, but I know if it was me it would play on my mind for some time. I hope you're both OK. If I recognised the name I would have torn him apart for repeating lies deliberately, but new or not, it is annoying that people speak such crap without checking up on the facts. I think it's interesting that the nature of the defenders of American's 'freedom' to kill one another tell deliberate lies in support of their cause. I think it's sad that people blindly believe this stuff when they can do a web search to find the truth[^]. Christian Hey, at least Logo had, at it's inception, a mechanical turtle. So.. Guess what happened last night??? [Please forgive me if my english and my spelling is a bit crappy.. I got very little sleep last night and I drank way too much coffee today :wtf:] My flat got robbed. Myself and my flatemate [Ciarán] were there. I luckily enough wasn't involved in any serious way. However the same cannot be said of Ciarán. He was really messed around.
So... 2:10 in the morning... I wake up to see a figure standing in my bedroom door.. wearing a grey hoody but I couldn't make out the face... I was kinda half asleep [] so I thought it was my brother after comming home from the night club and not so polietly asked "What do you want?"... a quick response of "Nothing" was given... fair enought... Brian lay's his head down to sleep.... 5 minutes later my flat mate comes running into my room shouting and screaming for me to lock the door, while he's grabbing my phone to ring the Gardaí [Police]... In those 5 minutes... ...Two men, fairly big, about 6 foot and stocky builds, walked into his room and dragged him out of bed. Robbed his watch [about €200], phone, wallet [With Credit Cards, Bank Cards and Cash] and some other stuff. They shoved a t-shirt [not my magerquark.de ones Uwe :-)] in his mouth and treathened to kill him... He was then brough outside [I was still in bed asleep at this stage :wtf:] where there were two more people waiting.. One said he had a gun but I doubt it.. [Guns are very hard to get over here].. and treathened to kill him, again, unless he pointed out his car, which he sensibly did. They were going to bring him up to the nearest ATM to make him withdraw money from his Bank and CC cards but Ciarán just kept saying that he'd give him the pin numbers, which he did, and when they were getting into the car he managed to get loose and run up to the flat... where he came into me... [Oh. .they also robbed some other stuff from teh flat.. PS 2 among the things] Anyway... we contact the Gardaí straight away and managed to get the Bank and CC cards cancelled almost instantly... Loads of other stuff happened after that that I can't really remember.. a bit of a blur.... Oh. Ciarán's car was a write off... completely gone... I have no idea how those bastards [forgive my language] walked away from the car alive. There was very little of it left after it was crashed.
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: So.. was you can see, Brian, who is now referring to himself in the third person for some strange reason, had a

Here in Australia, when we've been robbed the police basically said 'if you're insured, you'll need to come and get a case number from us for the insurance forms'. The cops are all too busy on the streets with speed cameras to be up to the challenge of trying to solve crimes with actual criminals.
