That is CG putting words in my mouth, I've never said that there is infinite land or gold. I said there is enough to sustain us, so we don't need to be forcibly depopulated by an all powerful global government, and use their fiat crud that gives them control over our economy. He is a pedophile for the reasons I stated in the original post.

This[^] is one example of a thread where you indicate that no matter how many people there are, or how much land we farm, or how we treat it, that there won't be any sort of crisis. You say 'I can grow my own food'. I say 'what about people in New York'. You say 'They will buy some land'. We've had many conversations like this, where it's beyond your intellect to consider there may be more people in the city of New York ( for example ) than there are 5 acre lots for people to buy and feed themselves off.

      so there's not enough gold

Like I keep saying, Silver would be used for small denomination coins, and a silver dime (10 cents) would be worth around 2 dollars in today's dollar. Gold would be used in large denominations. There is still Gold to be mined, it is just hard to find. I bet there is tons of Gold in Africa, they haven't developed enough to do large scale mining like we have.

What are we going to eat if we don't have land to grow food?

Here in America, we have enough to eat, we grow most of our food and have plenty of land to support more.

I don't know what you consider pollution, but let's get something clear, CO2 is not pollution. I'm for real environmentalism such as keeping water clean and preventing the spread of GMO crops and genetically engineered microbes.

      Gonzoox wrote:

How many more is ok for you to say that we can sustain a decent life before starting to kill each other for resources?

I don't know. I see it in the near future after the dollar collapses, but that is due to out of control government and central banks recklessly spending and flooding the economy with fiat currency.

we are already doing it for oil.

The same people in government going into countries for opium and oil are the same people that lock down our own resources. They want to create artificial scarcities and control the world's resources for their own benefit. We end up paying them massive amounts of money and they get all the control.

I've seen it, its a good movie. That is not my theory though. My theory is to keep power in check and let the market deal with issues in a decentralized manner. For instance, if their is a real shortage of oil then their will be demand for new technologies, however if the government tries to tax and control we will all suffer and the only thing we will get is corruption and poverty.

You keep saying that, despite having been provided with links that prove you wrong. This idea is unworkable because there's not enough gold, and what we have, as even you say, is so hard to get that we have to destroy a mountain to get a small quantity of gold.

      CaptainSeeSharp wrote:

The USA is a net exporter of food only because of subsidies paid to farmers, which help to encourage practices of over production which in turn is destroying the land.

you don't think about things. You just shoe horn any issue into this fantasy of yours.

      CaptainSeeSharp wrote:

People must be paid in proportion to the work they do.

Yet you're upset about inflation. If the person making your Nikes is paid a fair wage ( and I agree, they should be ), do you think Nikes would still cost the same ? the fact is, the 'wealth' of countries like Australia and the USA, is built on this slave labour. Not much has changed in that regard. When people lived in small communities and everything was manufactured locally, people would spend more than 65% of their wage on food, that was what it cost, and things like shoes were something you bought from time to time, not something you had 30 pairs of.

It is not up to somebody else to forcibly handicap another person's reproductive systems or forcibly abort or abduct anther person's child.

No-one here has ever suggested that anyone do that, your bizarre fantasy life aside. However, if I have 20 kids, then they all have the same right to life as the 2 that someone else has. Which creates more competition for resources that are going to become scarce. That's what makes it an interesting question for intelligent people to ponder. And that is why you should not take part, because you're not smart enough to understand what is said, as this thread again proves.

He is in Columbus, Ohio. He's publically stated that, then when I've stated it ( in the same forum he has said it ), he has threatened me. I don't really know why.

Yes, it's plain that I could sue him for slander, my problem is that I'd have to prove in court that he's someone who anyone would take seriously ( his being a joke to everyone here undermines the claim of slander ). It may be worth it to force him to take a pysch evaluation, which I'd presume would be part of his defence. I can plainly afford the lawyer, this is actually sounding tempting. To sit in court and hear the defence lawyer go over the proof that his client is mentally ill would be better than winning.....

That may be true, but you've probably undercut your ability to do so successfully by failing to remove this thread. It would be easy to gut an argument that you had been harmed when you had the power to stop it but did not do so. You really should just delete it.

Yes, you have a point. I don't want to delete it, because if I do, in his mind, it will prove he got to me, and he hasn't. I just think it's sad, and further evidence of his mental illness.

Well, of course he hasn't. There doesn't seem to be any question that this was pretty far over the line, though - I wouldn't let that keep me from deleting it.

I was planning on keep this going, but after reading your "Africa has enough gold" and not understanding that the gold there is not from the US, I lost all hopes with you. Good luck with your theories
