Food, Inc
-
I finally got my copy of Food, Inc and watched it. I don't think I'll order any steaks medium rare in the US again. Not unless I know the source. I do wonder how close AU is to being so disgracefully run, but given that we've not had any e coli on our spinach, I think we're probably doing a lot better.

Why is that? I've not seen the film, but heard of it.

You're wrong, we have infinite land to feed the cattle, we don't have overpopulation, there's plenty of food for everyone, all what that movie says are lies, we are not destroying the planet using chemicals to grow food faster, this is a conspiracy from you and your kind. In the US the government helps farmers to grow food, but if they can't afford it then they deserve to die, socialist ideas of feeding everyone, giving free health care are going to destroy our freedom, the economy. EDIT: oops, I forgot to tell everyone, I'm joining CSS side, he's right in everything he says.
I want to die like my grandfather- asleep, not like the passengers in his car, screaming!

Psst, you forgot to insult the Fed... Remember, in CSS-land, EVERYTHING is blamed on the Fed.

I will tell you corporations like monstanto are doing considerable damage to our food supply by unleashing genetically modified foods that grow their own pesticides and do all sorts of other stuff. These plants to cross breed with their naterual counterparts causing irreparable damage to our ecosystem.

Why is what ? It's not so bad here, b/c we don't use corn for everything. We don't use HFCS at all. I believe our meat is still mostly grass fed. I suspect the way we raise chickens for meat is probably not that different.

I don't think they damage the ecosystem particularly. I do think it's a crime that they can enforce those patents and make all the growers reliant on them, and push rogue growers out of business.
