Taken from an OCD test: "Are you concerned about physically harming a loved one, pushing a stranger in front of a bus, steering your car into oncoming traffic; inappropriate sexual contact; or poisoning dinner guests?" Taken from a Self Control test: "Does igniting a lighter and burning the edges of things help you relieve tension?" "Are you compelled to pull hairs out of your head and find it hard to stop?" Now I don't mean to poke fun at people honestly affected by the related conditions, but bloody hell - the sheer presense of those questions scared the hell out me! :omg: And, well, meet the cat[^]! Read the other case studies too, it is amazing how many different OCDs there are out there. If anything I have to count my lucky stars all my obsessions are petty.

I know I keep replying to this, but I can't believe you made no milage out of this: Edwin masturbates so much that he has now developed repetitive strain injury (RSI) in his right wrist. In the past, he has found it hard to concentrate at work because he felt compelled to masturbate at inappropriate times of the day. I've seen the cat guy before (on Ripley's Believe It Or Not, I think). The strange thing is to see him talk about it, he really doesn't seem nuts as he calmly explains that his spirit guide is a cat and it seemed like the natural thing to do. Bizarre. I deliberately left that one out as it was "too sad" to take the piss out of. It also featured a transexual and so I guess subconciously I didn't want to offend Anna after the last batch of piss taking and abuse she got in the Lounge. I.e. if I said "omg" it might have sounded like I was saying that at the condition or whatever. OMG - David has a politically correct heart! I just read the article Christian referred to. Thinking about it I'm not particularly surprised by the outcome or the association with sex - TS people try to cope with their feelings in all sorts of ways. If anyone can help her he can. :) Anna :rose: "Be yourself - not what others think you should be"

Well, aren't you just a soft, marshmallowy kind of creature ? :P I did notice that, although I did not get the connection ( if he loves to play with it so much, why does it want it cut off ), and I thought it obvious that I was making fun of the former, and not the latter. I mean, the RSI thing is kind of a cliched joke, and yet this guy has achieved it. I think that's pretty special.

"Professor Kevin Gournay of the Institute of Psychiatry says that it's possible that Cat could have an unusual form of body dysmorphic disorder (BDD)." We shouldn't overlook the possiblity that he is just a lunatic.
