Prince Charles yesterday urged the world to follow Islamic 'spiritual principles' in order to protect the environment. OK Charlie boy, its time to retire from public life methinks.

Indeed: though that was a particularly idiotic thing to say, even for him. The man is a complete arse and does not deserve to be king.

How does one deserve to be the king of anything?

By which I mean he was born to the role but does not deserve it. He is an arse of the highest order.

Yes, I figured that. My question was more what that has to do with what Prince Charles was saying. If you actually read the report he is espousing a more eco-friendly approach to the way we share the earth's resources. The fact that he made mention of Islam's attitude to this in no way implies that he supports the wearing of the burkah.

It's time for a new signature.

Yeah, he might be, but using Islam? Eco friendlyness barely exists in Islam any more than in christianity (he who cares for the least of my creatures etc). What DOES exist in Islam in bucket loads is repression of women. And thats the first thing one thiks of in relation to this religion. If he really wanted to use religion as an example instead of being a tredny left wing dickhead he would have used the north american native religion which truly did care for the environment ona big way. In fact so good was their care for nature that the first English to arrive there thought the beauty and abundant wild game they saw was natural. It wasnt, it was managed that way by the natives.
