It isn't wikipedia, its a news organization. Even so, they still provide tons of sources and links to the government's own documents. Get real buddy.

They managed to provide a link to the FT. Why not to the source that was the basis of the article? BTW I'm not your buddy. Oh, and where can I get some real? Could you point me to a free market supplier?

Here is another non-infowars article about how the government is taking over the internet. http://news.techworld.com/security/3228198/obama-internet-kill-switch-plan-approved-by-us-senate/?olo=rss[^]

You're trying to change the subject. Are you or are you not going to admit you (And InfoWars) were completely wrong about the originally-posted article?

This is so stupid, I can't even respond in haiku... Did you even READ the actual article? I mean the article, not the spin provided on InfoWars. Here, I'll make this REALLY easy for you... Here[^] is the actual article it refers to, and if you use your few remaining brain cells, you'll see that this has NOTHING to do with stopping you from getting online. What they're trying to do is establish a common standard for identity management companies to provide a secure login to make PURCHASES and few BANKING and MEDICAL records. The point is that you could use an RSA-style token to prove your identity before the site will be able to process your credit card. The government isn't even trying to control this. They're just setting up standards so multiple companies can administrate it, but still have their systems interoperate, so you won't need one token for each site you're logging into that requires it. They're not even making it mandatory, just available, kind of like SSL encryption. Now, given that information... What's your next stupid objection?

http://www.infowars.com/cybersecurity-measures-will-mandate-government-id-tokens-to-use-the-internet/[^] The move to shut down and regulate the Internet under a new government-controlled system has accelerated into high gear with the announcement that the government’s cybersecurity strategy revolves around issuing Internet users with ID “tokens” without which they will not be able to visit websites, the latest salvo against web freedom which, in combination with Senator Joe Lieberman’s ‘kill switch’ bill, will serve to eviscerate the free Internet as we know it. Under the guise of “cybersecurity,” the government is moving to discredit and shut down the existing Internet infrastructure in the pursuit of a new, centralized, regulated world wide web. Say goodbye to the internet as we know it. Savor what we have now as it is going the way of Chinese style censorship. No longer will the god-level officials permit us to use the internet we have now, no longer will they permit us unlimited access to free-flowing information, no longer will we be permitted to excersize our first amendment as we do now on the internet.

You have to be one of the most stupid people I've ever heard of (and I've been around long enough to meet a lot of idiots). You don't think about anything, at all: everything, for you, is a knee-jerk reaction fueled by your fundamental ignorance and sheer, pig headed inability to admit that you are wrong. You are so bound up in conspiracies that you wouldn't recognize the truth if you saw it. Pitiful.

The transaction is then sent to your bank for authorisation and the bank then requests that you complete a security process that you set up the first time you try online purchasing. The have been different type of securty systems on bank accounts for years including card tokens

I have that on my HSBC account, my partner got given a device that's similar to the RSA key fob which needs her to put her card in, type the PIN in and then use the code she gets back from that on the site itself. It seems alot fo steps to me but hey, that's security.

ROFL!!! what a childish reply from a professional programmer and a professional chef!!! are you out of answers to support your failures? cooking breakfast at Waffle House doesn't makes you a chef by the way, and yeah, looks like my sister, I hate when she uses so much makeup I will tell her again to stop doing it, anything else? oh, before I leave and wait for your next failure, have you kissed Ron's Paul poster today?
