What, this[^]!? Do you just believe EVERY conspiracy theory out there, no matter how daft, or is there a selection process?

Here I thought it was the aliens trying to terraform earth, again. Silly aliens, the stupid meteor didn't stop me and my reptilian brothers, it won't stop you stupid apes either.

If I have accidentally said something witty, smart, or correct, it is purely by mistake and I apologize for it.

We also had much higher levels of free oxygen at one point with dragonflies the size of eagles and lightning causing immediate flash fires. Just because the planet can support something doesn't mean it will be particularly pleasant or desirable to the human species.

As Ian pointed out, that isn't a term for geo-engineering. If you are going to use words to try and deceive, at least use words that aren't easily looked up by someone with an internet account and a cerebrum.

Did you read the rest of the sentence, or just gravitate toward a few words you can argue against? The rest of that phrase was, "we probably won't have a consensus until it's far too late to change anything." As in, political issues are tackled so slowly that by the time we have any sort of politically-accepted answer, so much time will have passed that the prediction would have already manifested itself.

Yeah, and every file on your computer uses hard drive space. Does that mean that a text file with this week's shopping list is just as significant, in terms of storage, as a ripped DVD image? Sure, every organism changes its environment, but show me one other species that has changed it even CLOSE to as much as humanity.

There are extremists on both sides. At this point, it's just a numbers game... Lots of people are trying to model the trends, and the effects of all the greenhouse gases we're releasing into the atmosphere. No one has a definitive answer yet, and since the issue is becoming more and more political instead of purely scientific, we probably won't have a consensus until it's far too late to change anything. Personally, I don't see how the environment could possibly remain unchanged with all of this industrialization. To me, the question isn't whether things will change, but how and how much. Human extinction in 50 years looks like one hell of an exaggeration, but a global increase of a degree or two by then, coupled with climate shifts in individual regions (Some become warmer, some get cooler, some get wetter, some drier, etc)? Seems plausible, if the numbers hold.

I have no interest in "calibrating." My views are what they are, and they only change with the addition of new evidence.

I don't "believe" theories. I do research into psycology, history, understand the mindset of the public and people in government, read the books written by these globalists like John P. Holdren and Rockefeller. It is all right in front of your face but you are under a spell. It is psychologically impossible for you to assess your trap. Here are some quotes from Bertrand Russell for you. "Scientific societies are as yet in their infancy. . . . It is to be expected that advances in physiology and psychology will give governments much more control over individual mentality than they now have even in totalitarian countries. Fitche laid it down that education should aim at destroying free will, so that, after pupils have left school, they shall be incapable, throughout the rest of their lives, of thinking or acting otherwise than as their schoolmasters would have wished. . . . Diet, injections, and injunctions will combine, from a very early age, to produce the sort of character and the sort of beliefs that the authorities consider desirable, and any serious criticism of the powers that be will become psychologically impossible. . . . "Gradually, by selective breeding, the congenital differences between rulers and ruled will increase until they become almost different species. A revolt of the plebs would become as unthinkable as an organized insurrection of sheep against the practice of eating mutton." . . . there is a small area of brain tissue that is responsible for the individual's power to resist domination. Repeated doses of infinitesimal amounts of fluorine will in time gradually reduce the individual's power to resist domination by slowly poisoning and narcotizing this area of brain tissue and make him submissive to the will of those who wish to govern him. . . . . . . any person who drinks artificially fluorinated water for a period of one year or more will never again be the same person, mentally or physically.'"

Wow... Do you actually believe that nonsense? Before I drop back into haiku (You're getting dull again), let me give you a few facts... 1) Governments and corporations are made up of PEOPLE. Lots and lots of people. The vast majority of these people are merely in support positions, to carry out the instructions of the top brass. These are not programmed automatons that are unable to think for themselves. These are just people, of varying levels of intelligence, with varying personalities and motivations. 2) For any of these vast, global conspiracies to work, they would require the involvement, willing cooperation, and complete confidentiality of hundreds or thousands of these people. 3) In this day and age, any idiot with half a brain can hop on the Internet and tell the entire world their secrets, whether it's through anonymous forum postings, blogs, or a whistleblower site like Wikileaks. Any action by the government/corporation/illuminati to cover up said postings would just elicit more attention (See: Streisand Effect)

Mao's government murdered 60-80 million Chinese, Stanlin's government murdered millions, Hitlers government murdered millions. And to say that the internet is bringing light to these murderous people, you are right, and that is why they are moving to shut it down. People didn't believe Hitler was exterminating Jews, in fact, there are still people who deny it. You are similar to a Holocaust denier.

Here is one for you: "I'm a Karamazov... when I fall into the abyss, I go straight into it, head down and heels up, and I'm even pleased that I'm falling in such a humiliating position, and for me I find it beautiful. And so in that very shame I suddenly begin a hymn. Let me be cursed, let me be base and vile, but let me also kiss the hem of that garment in which my God is clothed; let me be following the devil at the same time, but still I am also your son, Lord, and I love you, and I feel a joy without which the world cannot stand and be."

The bearing of a child takes nine months, no matter how many women are assigned.
