No. Even if there were it's not the Government's job to do so - at least not according to your previously expressed views. The market will take care of any such problems using its invisible hand, not part of the Invisible Empire, or is it? We can't see them so don't know where they are. Do we? Scary. :)

I DO think that there are two many cows, and I'm personally taking steps to combat the problem. Guys, I have just finished consuming what could possibly be the best steak I've ever eaten! (Did you like my segue?) :) It was a nice big Wagyū fillet (around 500 grams / approx a 1 lb) that I seared for 2 minutes each side and served with some freshly mashed potatoes and home-grown beans. I didn't even need to make gravy because the meat was so just juicy and tender! Wagyū beef sells for about AU$40 a kilo here so it's not something I can afford to eat every meal, but as a sunday afternoon treat it was unspeakably awesome :-D Now I'm washing it all down with a couple of icy cold beers. Perfect!

Yes, absolutely. There is one too many... you! :-) In reality I believe that there are too many people and it will become more difficult to provide for all of us; either in terms of water, food or raw materials as well as living space. The solution? I really don't know; certainly don't feel like entrusting it to goverments but then I don't think I'd trust it to me, either. There are no simple answers to this that would be acceptable to everyone so if anythig were to happen it woul dhave to be imposed by force. That probably means the strongest, most advanced nations doing whatver they have to do to the rest. That is evolution in action.
