http://www.infowars.com/the-lights-are-going-out-for-free-speech-on-the-internet/[^] Type the keywords “Internet censorship” into Google News and you will immediately understand to what degree the world wide web is under assault from attempts by governments globally to regulate and stifle free speech. From Australia to Belarus, from Turkey to Vietnam, from Pakistan to Egypt, from Afghanistan to Iran, huge chunks of the Internet are going dark as the Chinese model of Internet regulation is adopted worldwide. But why should Americans concern themselves with countries halfway across the globe adopting Chinese-style net censorship? Because under Senator Joe Lieberman’s 197-page Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act, the United States would formally mimic China’s “great firewall” of web censorship. When Lieberman himself attempted to debunk claims that the bill provides Obama, and any following President for that matter, with a figurative ‘kill switch’ to disable certain parts of the Internet, he explained that the government was merely seeking to emulate powers over the Internet already enjoyed by the Communist Chinese. Firstly, despite Lieberman’s spin, the text of the bill clearly gives Obama the power to shut down the Internet for at least four months without Congressional oversight.

I'm glad. It is important for everyone to be informed about the attack on the internet by governments across the world. It allows us to communicate freely and politicians don't like us talking bad about them. They also don't like how we can read the news that didn't come from state influenced papers.

No, Littlest Captain, they prefer you to access sites like InfoWars, because then you remain in total confusion as to what is really going on. There is a war for your mind, and reading such sites indicates that you have capitulated.

Bob, you have to realise that Captain Semen Stains is a twat. I have seen more intelligence in baboons, you cannot win with him because he cannot argue, he just goes sulky and rude when presented with evidence of his wrongness, and changes the subject. Ask him a question and watch him not answer it. He is just a brainless turd who thinks he has tapped into a font of knowledge.

Once again your trying to cause an uproar! have you even looked at what they are trying to censor? wiki/Internet_censorship (yes I know it aint a conspiracy site so your not going to take it as a valid source!) but as you can see below I've taken snippets as quotes for you!

                    United Kingdom
Main article: Internet Censorship in the United Kingdom

The United Kingdom is in ONI's watchlist and is not on RSF's internet enemy list. British Telecommunications ISP passes internet traffic through a service called Cleanfeed which uses data provided by the Internet Watch Foundation to identify pages believed to contain indecent photographs of children.[98][99] When such a page is found, the system creates a 'URL not found page' error rather than deliver the actual page or a warning page. Other ISPs use different systems such as WebMinder [5]. Regarding CleanFeed, the list of banned websites is provided by Internet Watch Foundation (IWF). CleanFeed is a silent content filtering system, which means that internet users cannot state if they are being regulated by CleanFeed or facing connection failures. According to a small-sample survey being conducted at 2008 by Nikolaos Koumartzis [100], an MA researcher at London College of Communication, the vast majority of UK based internet users (90.21%) were unaware of the existence of CleanFeed software. Moreover, 60.87% of the participants stated that they don’t trust BT and 65.22% of them that don’t trust IWF either to be responsible for a silent censorship system in UK.

                    **United States

The Department of Defense filters certain IP addresses. The US military's filtering policy is laid out in a report to congress entitled "Department of Defense Personnel Access to the Internet".**

****So if you look at that wiki page.. you will see that many countries have had some form of internet watching going on for years! that was 5 seconds of research to rebuke (I think thats the correct word DD will tell me if im wrong!) your statement!

I think you meant Refute, although Repudiate would be better, there is also Demur, but that lacks the punch.

                            CaptainSeeSharp quoted:

From Australia to Belarus, from Turkey to Vietnam, from Pakistan to Egypt, from Afghanistan to Iran

In what way can Internet censorship be from [country] to [country]? Does it mean that if I draw a line from Australia to Belarus, each of the countries through which that line passes practices Internet censorship? Should I use the capitals of Australia and Belarus as start and end points? Australia is so large, if I start in the wrong place, I might include innocent countries. Or does it mean that I should use an alphabetically ordered list of countries? But then, Afghanistan to Iran renders Australia to Belarus redundant. In fact, from Afghanistan to Pakistan, from Turkey to Vietnam would suffice. But that omits Sri Lanka and Thailand - is InfoWars not aware of those countries' Internet censorship? Or maybe it is merely meaningless journalistic verbiage?

http://www.infowars.com/the-lights-are-going-out-for-free-speech-on-the-internet/[^] Type the keywords “Internet censorship” into Google News and you will immediately understand to what degree the world wide web is under assault from attempts by governments globally to regulate and stifle free speech.

And when none of this actually comes to pass, and the bill does little more than establish courses of action to be taken in case of a 'cyber-attack'. Will you still gleefully squawk the next paranoid tidbit from this site when it is not blocked? Or is he taking this seriously and setting up a monthly magazine with paranoid dribble in it?

oh look, him again posting rubbish... hey guys!!! I found a conspiracy from Waffle House, I'm starting to believe in conspiracies.... looks at this trusted information *************************************************** As I sat at Waffle House tonight, it dawned on me. I have finally uncovered the greatest conspiracy in the history of the world. And, using inductive and deductive logic it can now be proven. Walt Wankel is an alien, and he owns Waffle House. Bill O Reilly has called. So has Rush. I believe we can further prove that the aliens are under the influence of the french governement. 1. Wankel invented the rotary engine 2. Wankel makes soup. 3. Waffles are round 4. The alien craft are round 5. The soup at Waffle House is "Walt's Soup" - this is NO coincidence! 6. Rotary engine, circular food, circular craft 7. Waffles were found on the grassy knoll 8. The Kaiser invaded Belgium - famous for... waffles 9. Early alien craft were 'cigar shaped' 10. Wankel smokes cigars 11. The wankel crankle is a probe 12. aliens probe things 13. Wankel's name is "Walt" 14. The owner of Waffle House is "walt" 15. There are 3 letters different between Waffle and Wankel. 16. FKN - Frau Knows Now 17. The fluid used to cook food in is not known to human science 18. Wankel knows how to make "Astro Glide" - astro? another coincidence? I haven't even begun to discuss the gray - hash brown connections. ************************************************************************** Remember, watch the skies! Watch the skies!

I want to die like my grandfather- asleep, not like the passengers in his car, screaming!

You are a reckless drunk, who believes he is worth something because he says so. A lard ass who thinks he is worthy of any clothing other than a moo-moo. A fat whale with an alcoholic content so high that a considerable portion of your bloat comes from your swollen liver. I bet you don't even bother to wipe your ass after a heavy gas powered squirt over the toilet. Don't smoke when you do that, the alcohol in your diarrhea might catch fire.

You are nitpicking and obsessing over petty technicalities that you will find in any newspaper. You are unable to accept that there are people out there that are society wreckers. It must be terrible to have such a limited mind.
