This again? Hell yes! Because those faggots have decided that they should close a loophole that allowed supermarkets to be open on Sundays. GTFO of my life you religious bunch of nosey parkers! If I want to go to the supermarket on Sunday then it's my own bloody business and you've got nothing to do with it. You're free to Not go to the supermarket any day you want. And dutchfags, vote more D66. They're trying to stop this madness. Why does this happen when 70% of the country claims to be non-religous? Is it because politicians are all sissies who don't dare to step on some religous minority's toes? Grow some balls. ps: title is ambiguous on purpose.

Err, if the country is secular why was there a law in place that requires a loop hole to keep grocery stores open?

This is how they demonize religion. The government creates ridiculous freedom smashing laws that make everyone mad in the name of protecting religious rights, and then the dumb sheeple protest for the government to crack down on religious rights. It's all about killing spirituality which everyone now equates as pedophilia and spaghetti monsters which is not the case. If everyone would just get real high your government corporate brainwashing would be obliterated.

Why would the Christian parties (and they were the ones that did this) actively try to cause rebellion against themselves? That makes no sense at all. Religion == pædophilia and spaghetti monsters. Btw, are you a religionfag or are you a white knight after all?

I am someone who sees the bigger picture. Religion is being destroyed, from the inside and out. Just try some LSD or Mushrooms or any powerful drug and you will understand that there is more to life than the artificial society we have built up around us. The universe is a big and complex place, there is much more than our puny narrow pinpoint perspective. There are things out there that you cannot even begin to possibly imagine in the slightest sense. Things that you thought were not possible.

You do, because big and weird means nothing but a couple lines of text in a textbook to a puny mind like yours.

So to sum up this CSS rant. Religiously based laws are actually anti-religion laws made to make people mad and take away the right of religious people to make religiously based laws which are actually anti-religion laws made to make people mad and take away the right of religious people to make religiously based laws which are actually anti-religion laws made to make people mad and take away the right of religious people to make religiously based laws which are actually anti-religion laws made to make ... ...and you would understand this if you only took LSD. Wow, I don't even have to exaggerate his stance to ridicule it.

He makes me think of Jeff Bridges's character in The Big Lebowski... "Look, man, I've got certain information, all right? Certain things have come to light. And, you know, has it ever occurred to you, that, instead of, uh, you know, running around, uh, uh, blaming me, you know, given the nature of all this new sh**, you know, I-I-I-I... this could be a-a-a-a lot more, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, complex, I mean, it's not just, it might not be just such a simple... uh, you know?"

Man, you need to relax... I agree that Blue Laws[^] are completely idiotic and need to be ripped to shreds and set on fire, but don't give yourself a stroke :) One of the great things about NYC... That kind of crap doesn't fly here. Sure, certain places will close on Sunday (Or Saturday, for the ones run by Hasidics), but there's no law to encourage or require it... But there are always plenty of others that are open. EDIT: Ok, we actually do have a few "Blue Laws" left, in regards to booze... Liquor stores are allowed to be open on Sundays (That wasn't the case ten years ago), but do have to be closed one day a week... Supposedly the small liquor stores actually demanded that, so they wouldn't have to be open 7 days a week to compete with the big ones.

Proud to have finally moved to the A-Ark. Which one are you in?

This is how they demonize religion. The government creates ridiculous freedom smashing laws that make everyone mad in the name of protecting religious rights, and then the dumb sheeple protest for the government to crack down on religious rights. It's all about killing spirituality which everyone now equates as pedophilia and spaghetti monsters which is not the case. If everyone would just get real high your government corporate brainwashing would be obliterated.

Of course the damage done in the process causes it's own issues.

I always hated that thing... Whenever I'm at something where the pledge is recited (Very rare), I just skip those two words.

Which is about it, a token gesture by school students which was amended to it's current form from a formerly secular position in the 50s. Cause Jesus makes commies burst into flame doncha know. Out side of the vague philosophical reasons given in the early founding documents god/s were hardly even mentioned. The constitution itself only includes one reference, the date being stated as the year of our lord, which is to say using common folklore to define the date in a sense familiar to those reading/writing it. Of course that doesn't stop people from making claim that it's a christian nation, rather than a nation with a high percentage of Christians.
