Those sound more like the kind of chemicals that block certain receptors, not viruses which eat them. It's pretty much how anti-smoking drugs have worked since we stopped using cocaine, and they actually helped people stop smoking. Not as well as taking up cocaine did, but that has it's own problems.

Yes, viruses can only attack very specific cells. A synapse that deals with serotonin is distinguishable that a synapse that deals with dopamine, and it can get even more detailed than that. Do you even know what a synapse is, or a neurotransmitter?
